Freading is an electronic book service from your library that lets you download eBooks to your computer or mobile device. Freading takes full advantage of digital distribution by letting users download immediately, no matter who else is reading it. With Freading, you never have to wait or place a hold because someone else is also reading the title you want to read. Freading has more than 50,000 titles from over 1,000 publishers with new titles being added each week.
When you download a title you get to keep it for two weeks. You can renew it once for another two weeks. You renew a book by downloading it again before your two weeks' download has expired. You can also download the book on another device twice before your download expires.
You can typically have three titles downloaded at any given time. After a title expires you will be able to download a new title up to your limit.
To use Freading you are required to have an Adobe ID. This is a digital Identification you get from Adobe at no cost. The Adobe ID is used to authorize your device for title downloads. You can sign up for an Adobe ID here.
